San Antonio Regional Training
San Antonio, TX
October 2 - 3, 2013
End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) is pleased to announce that we will be holding the third 2013 Regional Training Conferences in San Antonio, Texas. This 2-day training will be held at The St. Anthony Riverwalk Wyndam Hotel on Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 - 3, 2013.  This conference will focus on sexual assault.

These regional training conferences are designed to complement our international conference that we host once a year, as well as our OnLine Training Institute (OLTI) and webinar events, to offer a range of training options for professionals in the field.  While the annual conference offers an incredible opportunity to hear from as many as 80 leading experts facilitating 48 workshops and 6 plenary sessions -- we continually receive requests to host regional training conferences on a smaller scale, to address the fundamentals of how to improve the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault and domestic violence.  This is consistent with our mission as an organization, which is to inspire and educate those who respond to gender-based violence - with the goal of better supporting victims, holding perpetrators accountable, and ultimately make our communities safer.

We encourage you to join us for a cutting edge opportunity highlighting:
  • Recognizing and Responding to Sexual Assault:  Beyond the Basics
  • Overcoming the Consent Defense: From Crime Scene to Courtroom
  • Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI)
  • Effective Report Writing Using the Language of Non-Consensual Sex
