American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI)
The mission of the American Prosecutors Research Institute is to provide state and local prosecutors knowledge, skills and support to ensure that justice is done and the public safety rights of all persons are safeguarded. To accomplish this mission, APRI serves as a nationwide, interdisciplinary resource center for research and development, technical assistance, training and publications reflecting the highest standards and cutting-edge practices of the prosecutorial profession.
International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN)
IAFN's mission is to provide leadership in forensic nursing practice by developing, promoting, and disseminating information internationally about forensic nursing science.
National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC)
NSVRC serves as the nation’s principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence. It provides national leadership, consultation and technical assistance by generating and facilitating the development and flow of information on sexual violence intervention and prevention strategies. The NSVRC works to address the causes and impact of sexual violence through collaboration, prevention efforts and the distribution of resources.
Office on Violence Against Women (OVW)
The mission of the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is to provide federal leadership to reduce violence against women, and to administer justice for and strengthen services to all victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. This is accomplished by developing and supporting the capacity of state, local, tribal, and non-profit entities involved in responding to violence against women.
West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information and Services (FRIS)
Through funding from OVC, the West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information and Services (FRIS) has worked to meet the needs of rural victims by effectively implementing a mobile SANE program. FRIS has developed Implementing SANE Programs in Rural Communities: The West Virginia Regional Mobile SANE Project (NCJ 221749), to assist rural communities working to better meet the needs of victims. The replication guide addresses common problems faced by rural areas working to develop and maintain SANE programs, including feasibility, sustainability, recruitment, training, and implementation.
