End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) is pleased to announce that we will be holding our 2014 Regional Training Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This training will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Buckhead Hotel on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

These regional training conferences are designed to complement our international conference that we host once a year, as well as our OnLine Training Institute (OLTI) and webinar events, to offer a range of training options for professionals in the field.  While the annual conference offers an incredible opportunity to hear from as many as 80 leading experts facilitating 48 workshops and 6 plenary sessions -- we continually receive requests to host regional training conferences on a smaller scale, to address the fundamentals of how to improve the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault and domestic violence.  This is consistent with our mission as an organization, which is to inspire and educate those who respond to gender-based violence - with the goal of better supporting victims, holding perpetrators accountable, and ultimately make our communities safer.

Leading national experts will present on a variety of topics, such as:
  • Non-Fatal Strangulation: From Evaluation through Photodocumentation Practices
  • Clinical Photodocumentation: Current Practice, Best Practices and Where Do We Go From Here?
  • Case Studies – What’s Wrong with this Picture?
