Iva Rody, MSA
Throughout her career, Iva Rody has continued to serve as an advocate for crime victims in both the government and private sectors. Mrs. Rody has a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, a Master of Administration and has been successful at developing and implementing multiple law enforcement-based victim assistance programs. Currently, Mrs. Rody serves as Project Director for the Family Violence Institute at Northern Arizona University where she provides technical assistance to various law enforcement, advocacy and criminal justice partners. Often, Mrs. Rody is called upon to provide training and professional development on current trends and best practices in Domestic Violence, Crisis Intervention and Advocacy. Mrs. Rody is a graduate of the Arizona POST Leadership Program and serves as a Board Member for End Violence Against Women International. Additional committee service includes the International Association of Chiefs of Police Victim Services Committee, the West Valley Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team and the Federal Bureau of Investigations ELEVATE Committee. She is a consultant for the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence and peer reviewer for the US Department of Justice. In 2013, Mrs. Rody was recognized by the Arizona Attorney General for Distinguished Service in recognition of Outstanding Leadership on Behalf of Victims of Crime. Before her current role, Mrs. Rody lead the implementation of the El Mirage Police Department’s Victim Assistance Unit, which received recognition in the small agency category of the 2014 IACP Excellence in Victim Services Award and the 2017 Arizona Attorney General Distinguished Service Award in recognition of Innovative Practices in Victim Services.
