Tavan Pechet
Tavan Pechet serves as an independent advisor and fiduciary for successful families and family businesses. He previously served as CEO of a “family office” for a complex, multi-generation family where he oversaw operations including investing, tax, legal, governance and philanthropy.

Prior to that, Tavan served as an executive of the family's operating business and as an executive of a venture-backed technology company. He also practiced law with two large firms and clerked for a federal judge.

Tavan has helped a variety of businesses, nonprofits and hybrids with strategic planning, governance, structures and operations. He volunteers with Social Venture Partners to help nonprofits grow successfully, and with the You Have Options Program to change the way law enforcement responds to sexual assault.

Tavan holds an AB from Harvard College, a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. He is writing a book on the ethics of friendship, and while based in Seattle he remains a Boston sports fan.
